THE BEGINNING
After retiring early, I felt that I still had a lot to do with my life and after a year of researching to check I would not be duplicating anyone else, I found a gap in the market for my own signature designs.
THE HIGHLAND TWEEDERY
Beautiful Scottish wool and Scottish wool tartan ponchos, shawls, accessories, gifts and Mackintosh Squares(pocket picnic rugs ©️), all made using Scottish cashmere, Scottish wool tweeds and Scottish wool fabrics from Scottish and British weavers, including my exclusive Highland Tweedery tartan.

The majority of the Scottish fabrics I use are end of line, therefore very limited. Usually I can only make 2/3 items from each piece of fabric. Look out for the Limited Edition star ⭐️

ECO ETHOS
The Highland Tweedery tries very hard to have a minimal impact on our environment. All tweeds are purchased from as close to my workshop as possible. I buy from small businesses, therefore supporting all in the chain.
All box wrapping can be recycled.
All the tiny pieces of fabric left over, go to other local artisans for their projects.
Making my best effort to minimise our carbon footprint
Recently I have made denim skirts embellished with antique lace, from preloved jeans!
If I find a beautiful and funky preloved wool tweed, I love to make it into my iconic cross body bags.

* The Highland Tweedery can post items worldwide. PLEASE NOTE: Customers are responsible for taxes payable on their purchase in their own country.
** Returns. Customers can return items at their own cost within 14 day of dispatch. The item must be securely wrapped. The item must be unworn/unused. Refund for cost of item will be on receipt of item. Postal cost is customer’s responsibility.
*** Cancellation of order. Customers have the right to cancel an order. If the item has not been posted the refund will be made within 24 hours. If the order has been posted when cancellation is received then it will be refunded as per the Returns policy above.
Return address is on postal label.
**** Laundry As all items are made from wool, treat gently with a warm hand wash or a professional dry cleaning service. Do not tumble dry.
